“State-of-the-art equipment” is a sentence that costs nothing to write. A model number is different: you can look up what an SC352 does, and then you can look at the photographs on this site and see the same machine in them.
The specifications below are Vermeer’s published figures for the SC352. The machine in the pictures is ours, working, in Mississippi.

The numbers that matter to your yard.
| Model | Vermeer SC352 |
|---|---|
| Engine | 35 hpGas |
| Cut below grade | 14 inDeeper than the 4–8 in most of this trade quotes as standard |
| Cutter sweep | 40 inHow wide a bite the wheel takes across the stump |
| Base machine width | 35 inNarrow enough for most standard gates. Ours runs dual rear wheels, so give us your gate width on the phone rather than assuming. |
| Drive | Self-propelledFour wheels. It walks to the stump instead of being dragged there. |
| Front blade | BackfillPushes the grindings back over the hole before we leave |

Where it will and won’t go.

Right up to an edge
The cutter wheel swings out past the body of the machine, so the stump can sit closer to a fence or a wall than the machine itself could.

Slopes and rough ground
Four driven wheels and tyres made for turf. It handles banks and uneven ground that a towed grinder would struggle to reach.

On your lawn
It is a compact machine on rubber, not a tracked excavator. It will leave wheel marks in soft ground; it will not leave ruts you have to reseed.
Will it fit through your gate?
Measure the narrowest point on the way in and call with that number. Lance will tell you on the phone, before anybody drives anywhere.
